Lushington dating

The Turkish Van Cat went on to become an established breed.

A forthright woman, Laura Lushington was fierce in defence of her feline companions.

A block building dating from the early 1920s, the Fortress has been home to a host of businesses over the years.Though unrelated, the kittens, male and female, were identical and, as Laura soon discovered, they shared another unusual characteristic – they loved swimming. On the hot return journey, as Laura dived into a river to cool off, the kittens followed, swimming about happily in deep water. In later years Laura developed a special interest in photographing stained-glass windows. She also spent one long winter copying original 17th and 18th-century engravings and lithographs, producing compelling water-coloured prints of daily life in Ottoman Constantinople.
